  • Claim MyMC account

    • Claim your MyMC account (). Go to and click on "Claim Your Account." You will be prompted to enter your MyMC ID along with your M# (nine characters including the M). You can find your Student ID and M# in the letter that was emailed to the personal email address you listed on your application.

  • Set up ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP email

    • Once you are logged in to MyMC, set up your ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP email account by clicking on the email icon. This is the way MC will communicate with you.

  • Review your major or field of study (if you're undecided) to learn what's required to complete your program.

  • Apply for financial aid ¨C optional

  • Submit an official high school transcript
     
    • Submit an official high school transcript. High school transcripts may be submitted electronically by high schools that use Naviance, or you can complete the new window. We may request an official sealed copy of emailed transcripts for verification purposes.

  • Apply for Disability Support Services (DSS) ¨C if needed
     
    • Students must self-identify and are encouraged to contact DSS as soon as possible after admission to the College.

  • Comply with additional admissions requirements and deadlines for special programs - optional

  • Determine placement

  • Submit financial aid forms ¨C required if applying for financial aid

    • and complete all requested financial aid forms when notified.

  • Achieving the Promise Academy (ATPA)
    The Achieving the Promise Academy is MC¡¯s academic coaching program, created to ensure every student has the assistance, opportunities, and tools needed to succeed in college. No matter where you are on your academic journey, our Academic Coaches can help you build on your strengths and target areas for improvement so you can excel academically and achieve your full potential.

  • Athletics
    MC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and competes in the MDJUCO Conference. Participate in men and women¡¯s intercollegiate competition or co-ed intramural sports and show off your Raptor pride.

  • Disability Support Services
    DSS leads the effort to promote full participation and equal access to educational opportunities, programs and campus activities. DSS provides accommodations and support services for students with disabilities and educates the larger College community on disability related issues. When we celebrate and empower diversity at Montgomery College, we recognize and value disability as a distinct aspect of our diverse community.

    Language resource pages have general information about ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP in six languages.  MC also provides numerous options for students to receive support for their classes in languages other than English.

  • Leadership Development Program
    ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP Learn, Empower, Act, Discover and Serve is a leadership development program designed especially for ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP students on the Germantown, Rockville, and Takoma Park/Silver Spring campuses. This 10-week leadership program utilizes the Social Change Model of Leadership Development, which was created specifically for college students who seek to lead in a more socially responsible way and who want to learn to work effectively with others to create social change over their lifetime (Higher Education Research Institute [HERI], 1996).

  • Learning Centers
    The Learning Centers at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP are here to ensure your success as you pursue your academic goals. MC offers a variety of services and supports through our discipline-specific Learning Centers to help students meet the rigors of academic coursework.



  • MC Mentoring Network
    Being a college student is a great responsibility and can sometimes be overwhelming. Having a mentor, whether it¡¯s a peer, faculty, or staff member, can provide support and direction to help you succeed at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP and beyond.  The MC Mentoring Network offers a comprehensive list of mentoring support groups and opportunities at the College. We encourage you to engage in mentoring as a means to connect with the Raptor community and promote student success.

  • Service-Learning and Civic Engagement
    MC¡¯s Service-Learning Program engages students, faculty, and community organizations in meaningful, collaborative, and mutually beneficial projects. Students may serve as part of their coursework or as a co-curricular activity. Through service-learning, MC students meet new people, learn new skills, and make a difference for a day, a week, or a semester.

    Our rigorous academic programs will prepare you to succeed¡ªand our career planning and student employment services are here to help you explore different career options, hone your job search skills, and find internships and employment.

  • Student Wellness Center
    The Student Wellness Center aims to provide holistic, person-centered services to promote students¡¯ health and wellness by providing information and programming that addresses basic needs, and emotional, physical, spiritual, and social well-being. Our goal is to support students¡¯ overall health and development to optimize their success at MC and beyond.
    Some common challenges students face are access to health care, housing, food, mental health support, and personal safety. MC's network of community resources helps remove those obstacles to support your academic success.

  • TRIO Programs at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP
    The Federal TRIO Programs (TRIO) are Federal outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Students enrolled in today's TRiO programs mirror our nation's multicultural and multiethnic society.
